  • The Legacy of National Infertility Awareness Week: A Physician Perspective

Here is the blog Dr. Cardone wrote for RESOLVE of New England in honor of National Infertility Awareness Week. This week is National Infertility Awareness Week (NIAW), a milestone that has been observed since RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association lobbied Congress to designate a special week to call public attention to infertility as a medical condition affecting over 7 million Americans.

  • Advocacy for Women's Health

By Kimberly Murray, RN Thank you to Circle + Bloom for allowing us to be part of its Advocacy for Women’s Health series. We are honored to contribute our views. As infertility nurse specialists, we understand how important it is for patients to be their own best advocate.

  • Happy Holidays

The staff of Cardone Reproductive Medicine and Infertility wishes you a most joyous holiday season and all the best for a happy 2012. We realize the holiday season may have been hard for many of you with its intense emphasis on children and families, making it difficult to appreciate the joy of the season as you once did. But please remember that this also is a season of miracles: the precious oil lasting for eight days and nights and the family that finally found shelter in the manager.

  • Dr. Cardone on The Fertility Forum Radio Show

Women having babies in their 40's and beyond has been one of the most important societal transformations in recent decades. Statistically the number of women in this category has increased significantly while the birth rate has declined for other age categories. And this trend shows no sign of slowing as women in greater numbers continue to pursue higher education and careers while delaying marriage and childbirth.

  • You Have Given Us Our Family

Dear Dr. Cardone, I've started to write this more times than I can count, and every time I try, it just seems to come out as not enough; not enough sincerity; not enough gratitude, not enough heartfelt thanks, not enough of the true emotion we feel for what you have done for us! When we first tried to get pregnant, we, like so many others, never imagined we would have fertility troubles.

  • When is the Right Time to Consider Egg Donation?

Recently I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Dr. Veronica who is exploring motherhood in her 40’s. Like many mature women who come to my practice, she wants first to see if there is anything she can do to enhance her chances of getting pregnant the “old fashioned” way, but if she does need help, to be able to use her own eggs.

  • Thank You for the Thank You!

We always love getting thank you letters from our patients, though helping our patients get pregnant and have a healthy baby is thank you enough. Still, it is nice to receive a heartfelt letter, especially when they are written by tired, but happy parents. Dr.

  • Guest Blog: Karin Thayer from Fertility Planit

Fertility Planit: the Facebook for People Wanting to Get Pregnant & Make a Family By Karin Thayer For years I endured a rollercoaster ride of failed fertility treatments, the loss of natural pregnancies, the ending of a relationship and mounting debt, while I pursued my dream of getting pregnant and starting a family. Yes, I felt isolated. And frustrated.

  • We're on Fertility Planit

Cardone Reproductive Medicine and Infertility has a profile on a new fertility Web site called Fertility Planit, which is a cross between Yelp (consumer reviews) and Facebook. Fertility patients/consumers and providers can set-up free profiles tell their stories. For those who desire more privacy about their infertility status than Facebook can provide, Fertility Planit is a nice alternative.
